Has sourceforge let me down?
I wanted an easy-to-use calendaring tool like what Notes has built in or palm desktops...would it be smart to use a palm desktop environment? probably! but i decided to go to the internet nonetheless and hoped sourceforge would help me out.
Unfortunately, there was nothing as easy peasy as I wanted. sure, it would make sense that i would have to have my own database and or compile/build their source....but i was hoping for just a little open source executable! :( doh.
For now, google has semi done the trick with Akapa.com....let's see how well this works out for me...
course, i do foresee one big problem in the future...my life is now wholly dependent on the internet. From my courses (Forums) to my calendar and stuff...if anything goes offline, i'm going to be missing deadlines up the wazoo. :(
*sigh*....maybe this program isn't for me,eh? =)

i used to look on sourceforge for stuff...but i gave up.
in any case, you should keep notes installed..because as far as i know, you can check POP3/IMAP mail with Notes, and still retain the calendaring abilities...you'll just have to make sure all that confidential stuff from your former employer isn't available :P

If only I knew about that 3 weeks and three days ago... I still stick to the old school paper and agenda style of keeping everything in order, but I'm old school.
