Wow...I just went down a quasi trip to memory lane thanks to me checking my email and looking at Ang's online photo album.

tale of a young driver who's been with young drivers long enough to see 1 instructor quit, 1 instructor retire, and 2 others decide to instruct other kids....

blah. well.....today was the day.

i uh.........*sigh* suffice it to say that i walked back into MTO with a frown and my instructor looked at me, asking what happened. hahahahahahahaa.....*nervous laugh*.....course, yes, he shook my hand since i passed but oy...i was a bit shaken up. =)

manager: already!? we'd uh....rather you got familiar with everything first.

*hangs head* =) i knew that but i just wanted to make sure that by the time i needed to do my job, i had everything i needed on my computer. =) damn my big mouth though.........my boss printed out a lot of test scenarios for me that i have to handle tmrw. dah well....looks fun! for all those who want to join in, download the v2.1 eclipse drivers and start playing.

btw, while my boss is showing me this stuff, a yelp of pain comes from the cubicle beside me: "oh my gawd! konrad! you broke the driver!"

went into work. was nicely humiliated at the fact that my badge didn't work at the Z-link entrance (closest to my team's location)...GAUGH! ended up getting in at the main entrance somehow. the good news is that paresh had the same problem so hey --- i can't possibly be getting fired, right?

got my computer and everything set up this morning though. i've retained all my employee info from last year so you guys know how to reach me. er....wait....extension's changed but email's the same =)

the news that seriously made my day though? i logged into notes and apparently got an email with the subject line 'YOUSA BACK!'.........*BIG grin* because yes, i know who that's from =) my main monkeys are coming back to me....aly's working in DB2, mo's in JIT, eusebius is in ID =) still no sign of till (to be said in german accent) and, sadly, shawn and anthony are back on school term so they can't join us. margaret -- per info from jon -- is coming back to toronto for the summer. *sigh* monkeys are back in town. ;)

course, mo was peeved that he got his old badge back and i got a brand new one....*smirk*....

and on that note, i hate mo because he told me last year that CSC would be fun ------ those in comp eng know just how fun this course is....*crosses arms*

dear devoted readers, .......

=) sorry for not writing in ....GAUGH. 3 days! i've been reminded to blog by various parties (*glares*) but due to a couple of late-ish nights, haven't been able to. and thus, i come back with a vengeance to blog about the last couple days of my life.

first of all, didn't blog on tuesday night because it was my night on the town with nsci's =) i was doing laundry and getting a couple things ready for work during the day before heading out for dinner and meeting little nsci's down at the physics building around 9pm. had lots of fun! went down to a pub on queen street where apparently, most nsci's had decided to aggregate (many tables of nsci's...too many nsci's for single, little comp eng to handle...). loquax and i had deep-friend ice cream which was quite good! (my first try at this kind of dessert so stomach was fairly pleased). of course me and alice were feeling extremely neglected by meredi (haha) but nevertheless, i think they're both still going to drive their kids to soccer practice together....maybe i can join the PTA? =) i also kind of said my good-byes to loquax since she headed out to BC the next day for training (3 week crash course on japanese language and culture!). but...she'll be back in time for the norweigan king's b-day so we'll all meet again ;) will definitely have to punish the little bird who showed quax pictures of me and beer....and i still owe little jo another hug. why? because i want to. =)

why didn't i post that night? i wanted to but i did get back a tad late and had to wake up early for orientation at work. and you know what stinks? they gave away prizes for people who could answer questions on their presentations at the orientation. *sigh* course, i sat at the back with my u(t) team so they couldn't really see me and i didn't get to answer questions (haha I think HR kind of wanted to give the newbies a chance too but.....*sigh*...all my hard work....for nothing!)

i went shopping today!
for those of you who know how much shopping i do with other people (that's to say, next to none)...haha i actually went around to different shops and bought stuff! it was cool....apparently stores have these racks and stuff with clothes on them and ...hmm.....i need to get out more.

actually, the bulk of my purchase was made at the u of t bookstore for a hoodie that i'm thinking of returning because it's too big (never tried it on there)...plus, i've grown very fond of my skule hoodie and don't feel the need to share in the u(t) pride with artsci's just yet ;)

Ooops. That meeting wasn't for the associate chair...worse yet, i sent him an email saying I would come back to find him after his departmental meeting. He thought *I* had a meeting! *sigh*

all in all, good news! Security system has been installed. I stood there with them when they put up temp signs. Me and another admin officer analyzed the conditions in the room (82 desks, 50 chairs + 2 that aren't even ours, graffiti, etc.)...

HUUZZAAAHH!!! at least a significant part of what needed to be done has been done....

now for the bad news...i think i just brought on more work to our ECE Club execs as the dept is thinking about having us man the room. hmm.....well i guess i'll let them know what the dept says and we'll talk on what has to be done, what can be done, and who will pay for what since we won't have a huge budget for people coming in next year =(

and now....i've had enough of skule.

a couple more administrative things and i'm gone! (yeah..yeah i know...knowing me, i'll probably be back) =)

i think i need to get a life.
