Yesterday was a semi-cool day :)

I went to a DB2 UDB presentation and saw "Green Tea" perform --- was pretty good! haha and before i suggested that DB2 is nothing but a live band...uh....it was 2 short presentations bordering a live band :) Green Tea has 2 IBMers on drums and bass but they're an actual band outside IBM too! Sounded great (imo though) although the bass was a bit too loud (hehe HR had to ask them to quiet down because we had customers next door) :D :D :D

all right...then during the afternoon, i got the official email announcing my friend, Brice, as the new Future Blue rep for headquarters! YAY herms!!!!!

Later on? I came home, paid my credit card bill (narrrr...), bought a laptop (that'll kill the bill next month..! argh!), and then went to get my dad from the airport. YAY!

Now...the crazy thing is that i woke up at 7am today...and not to watch tv or go out and enjoy the beautiful day (yes, it's grey and raining; i love it!). i actually started cleaning my room...i did a surface scan of my desk...and and and...my windows...and and ....gaauuggghhh...what's happening to me?

hrm.

and now? in about a half hour i'm apparently going to ditch all ties with hs for an evening because i'm going to hang out with a bunch of UTSers.... :)

Newly paved roads...?

All right...first, i was ecstatic when i came home one night to find my street was recently repaved after the bumpy, patchy thing we've had for 20 years! whoohoo!!!

i think news of this novelty spread though because we've got kids on scooters, bikes, rollerblades, playing b-ball, and uh...there's a guy riding his motorcycle back and forth and hitting the brakes really hard on each end of the street.

hrm.....
