So if you live your life in a three piece suit,
In a cocktail dress, or combat boots
You pick your path and you walk your truth
And the world will come round to you.

Pop the cork, a champagne glass
Raise to the future, drink to the past
Thank the Lord for the friends he cast,
In the play he wrote for you.

welp...i have returned. odd to come back so quickly but i'm listening to my pachabel and in defiance of work (has i have been for quite some time now --- to my detriment). narr...

on with the show? see, i was told i have no life and i never go out with my friends...

peter: hey cherie, what are you doing after work?
me: uh...i have no life after work. work?
peter: how about...6:40pm. me, mat, and mat's brother. come on!
me: er...i don't know..what are you guys doing?
peter: golf.

haha oh dear...it was funny because he and i were talking about golf the day before and he actually thought i knew about golf. *hangs head*

me: haha probably not today though...sorry!
peter: but you were our first choice!
me: i was?!
peter: yeah! .............*lowers voice* ...after the original guy cancelled on us.
me: gee, THANKS.

haha bah. in any event....lots of work at work...narr...see, when you think of a solution, remember that by murphy's, you'll probably have to go through fifty 'solutions' until you realize there is no solution. you're screwed. hah!............oh. bugger. although, the weirdest thing? i think i found a use for something i learned in programming class. i was in awe -- seriously. of ALL classes, i didn't expect to ever use that one....*sigh* and yes, i know i'm a software developer. but, in my defense, i do sell magazine subscriptions by night.

funny moment of the day?

me and the kiduhmm.... see, i got this image from a friend of mine which i thought completely ressembled me and my brother. (me being the one on the left and woddling, of course). *sigh*...so what did i do? i go over to my brother and say, "we have to practice the penguin thing!"

vic -- being the kind, caring brother he is -- was very willing to help out. *fist in air*
*sigh*
vic: *stands up straight*
me: *woddles*
vic: *SmAcK!*
me: *falls onto floor*
.........all right. that was good. we'll practice again tmrw.
vic: cool.

*sigh*..........why. WHY me.

gaugh! almost forgot to reply to kumquat's comments from before:

and yes cherie, only these weird toilet-clogging, integral-related events happen to you. at least, you don't go thru puking events.... NNH has almost barred me from participating in other royal events!

lol....WHY do they only happen to me?! WHY!? =) NNH? is that icky? the...norweigian...highness? =)

and yes, i heard great reviews for Pericles! next time, BBN, you and i will gad off somewhere and have fun.

haha PLEASE! come back soon, loquax! it's not the same without you :) btw, selvi's back!

closing at 9pm isn't early... at least, not anymore. all the stores and (where's the #$!#"%!#$!#$ ampersand on this !#"!#$!"#$ japanese keyboard????!!!!)supermarkets around where i live clost at *8pm*!! and by the time i get home, it's usually *after* 8pm!!!!!

why is it that everytime i write a 'quick blog', it's darned long!?

GAUGH! i'm behind schedule!

Quick blog time!!!!

Yes, i went to stratford! haha The initial idea came up in April but I went over the August long weekend with a friend of mine and we had a great time! (If i may say so myself) =)

Highlights?

First, the people in Stratford are really nice! Course, it is a tourist town but a plus is that it's extremely safe in comparison to all em big cities. We tipped the cab driver and she seemed surprised! (wow -- in Toronto I think the cabbie would have slapped us if we hadn't tipped, no?) We stayed at 2 guest homes (retired ppl who rent out rooms). The first was Mrs. Graham who I seriously thought must have been an elementary school teacher because she was one of the sweetest old ladies I've ever met. :) And yes, I walked in there, she looked at me and remarked "my, you have a lot of bags". me: "yeah, I was prepared for tornados, hurricanes, and drought." *hangs head* she laughed. (she thought i was insane.)

I got into the house and she told us to go to our rooms. Of course, I liked the plain room -- simple bed covers, chair, dresser, closet. I took my bags into the 'manly' room and left Anthony to fend for himself in the 'girly' room with frilly bed cover and lace EVERYWHERE. *grin*.

Mrs. Graham apparently thought I should be in the girly room though. *sigh* So much for crushing the male ego. Thus, we did a quick switch of bag-and-room locations and I got my girly room.

We later went out for some foodage and *sigh* since our tablecloth was one of those large pieces of paper, we uh....started drawing and talking about fourier...and integration...and the fourier transform of a periodic signal and....and....eventually I resolved that we needed to go to the library because I darned well forgot EVERYTHING from Linear Systems. (btw, this was at a restaurant named Crabby Joe's --- nice place! they advertise having a 'bad temper') =)

Btw, in case you're wondering, on the walk to this restaurant, I had a misfortunate run-in with a little fly. He flew into my eye!!! I uh...blinked in shock and I think the impact was instant death for the little guy :( *sigh*...worse yet, he was stuck in my EYE! no, i don't know how this happens to me. but....there's more....

The next morning, I uh....er...hrmm...see, I thought I would get ready to head out for brunch before we saw our plays so I walk into the washroom, wash my face, handle them dentures, potty...and....er...*looks at toilet*...it's uhmm...it's not going down.

first reaction: i'm screwed. they'll never let me into stratford again.
second thought: I should tell Mrs. Graham --- nono, I should at least try to rectify the situation first. *takes plunger in hand*

uh...plunging didn't work. so i went downstairs...she was talking to 2 guests. oh dear. okay, don't embarrass yourself, cherie. i walked upstairs. into the washroom. closed the door. and stared into the loo hoping for some kind of solution. in the end, i knew i would have to get help so i reluctantly walked out of the washroom, closed the door so that no one else would see the problem, and told Anthony --- who, of course, took his sweet time to _laugh_ at me and ask me _how_ on earth this stuff happens to me. *hangs head in shame* =)

long story short? we couldn't un-clog it.....and uh...had to tell Mrs. Graham. She looked at me as I was ever so timidly trying to tell her of my misdeed and asked what i put in there. Oh dear... I replied, "Nothing...unnatural" (i was wondering if she actually wanted me to list everything that ever went into a toilet). haha in the end? We found out that a plastic butterfly (one of those mirror decorations) had fallen into the toilet...*whew* Maybe the other guests accidentally knocked it in somehow before i got in there? yes? please? :)

This was all within 24 hours of getting into Stratford.

The plays where REALLY good though! Pericles was amazing --- hilarious because they tried to revamp a lot of the Shakespearian jokes to our understanding...and/or just added them in when need be. It really kept most of us laughing the whole time. The Birds was a bit different. A very contemporized rendition of a Greek play so it was quite out of the ordinary. A well-acted production for sure but if people do ask me, I tend to tell them it one of those plays of an acquired taste. I usually like Greek plays by the book but it was still pretty good!

The rest of the weekend was sight-seeing and daily visits to Timmies..*grin* There are only TWO of them in Stratford! Btw, Stratford has a population of 28 000 people. you can walk from one side of town to the next in about an hour. they're restaurants close around 9pm at the latest --- WHHAAAA???? we're not in toronto anymore. =) Nevertheless, I did have a great time and although I think I walked around that town a dozen times and resolved never to live in a small town, I very much regretted to leave and return to work. Narrr.....

Next big event?

Vay's BACK! haha on Thursday, I went out with some good friends from hs and had a very sweet sesame bubble tea :) Twas really good to see my friends again despite the fact that they never ask me out! *humph* =) But we had a good talk on old times and current events in our lives. Even a road trip idea came up for us which would be really cool! Although, not sure what the workplace weather will be at that time =(

And finally.......to today!

WONDERLAND! goodness, i haven't been there in a WHILE...and uh...hahaa don't eat and ride. really. I found out exactly what it means today and wow, I still felt woozy when I got home! Don't get me wrong --- I had a blast with meesh, icky, and poncho but oh man, when I come home and still feel the rocking while I eat...hehe *pictures cherie rocking back and forth while eating rice* *sigh*.... I'm a goof =) A goof who was offered Gravol....*grin*...who's with me!?
Meesh? MEESH!?!?!? HEY!!!! =)

...er.............no?

*sigh*....welp..it's REALLY late and I should be bedded. I know I still have a lot to write but, for some reason...things have been going better :) Work is looking up a bit and at one point I thought I had lost a really good friend of mine but, it turns out, I still had that best friend all along (i think? HEY! get back here!) =)

nite all!
