and...time to update before bop has nothing to read =)

last time i updated was....nargh! tuesday!

all righty...

hrm...wednesday i uh....did some work on my parser thingie at work and in the afternoon, did some testing in my light lab...HAH! course, was getting a wee bit er..sleepy in that lab (don't tell the team). *sigh* on top of it all, the ice cap machine was closed when we went there!

thursday...meant to finish off my testing but......came in to find that my buddy filed a bug against me. *hangs head*...next time i get a bug filed against me (although, i'm hoping that no happen), remind me not to tell people at work. =) i got berated ALL day from them about writing buggy code...but but but...it was working AS DESIGNED. (read: as i designed. not as the actual developers intended.) argh. darned communication barriers. so that was...utterly crappy. not a good way to start the day at all. and later on today i emailed my buddy because i wasn't sure why we had 2 monitors in the code when there should only be one. thus, not only did i get yelled at for the bug but also for forgetting how to put everything into one monitor.

*siiiiggghhhh* so i'm scared of the people on my team.......i'm constantly reminded about being stupid (yah...i tried to forget but but....nargh)....and i can't even get a good night's sleep anymore....for a few nights i've been dreaming about being late for work or something keeping me from getting to work so i wake up at 4am thinking i'm late...then i go back to bed, only to wake up at 6am and think i'm late. then i go back to bed, only to realize when i awake that it's 8am and if i don't get up RIGHT THEN, i'm going to be late.

*sigh* 15 more months.....trying to ask for a day off at the end of june...hrm...anyone got good ways to ask them for a holiday? =(

blah....oh well.....and that was that. still working on one thing but at least the bug fix should be in (i tried to commit a "FIXED" title to it today), finished helping someone else test their stuff in the light lab, and trying to finish off my part of the parser/html-er thing..... hence, one more to go! and then...haha i'll probably get more work, right? =)

cool stuff? hrm...i bought a donut this morning. oh, and peter and i went to future shop yesterday which was pretty cool because the one up near work is much nicer and bigger than the one near my house! course, we kept track of the time so that we didn't get stuck there for 3 hours like paresh did last time he went with peter ;) long story short....hardware..pretty...i likes. (uhmm....i should leave the house more, no?)

how to be a good sister: make your brother sit through a chick flick. *smirk* apparently 'what a girl wants' isn't a guy movie...hmm...who would've guessed? ;) .....haah what?! it was his fault!

btw, i think i really take for granted the machine i have at work. it just took me about 2 min to load up a program that it takes me about 10 sec for at work.

good lord. now just where would i be without over a gig of ram? (work comp specs: P4 2.192Mhz 1.024Mb DDR, WinXP)

*sigh* i want to be bilingual.

*sigh* another day and i'm walking backwards.....

narrr.....you know, it would be really nice if my buddy could come into my pwa and not be so direct in telling me that i stink. *siiiigghh*...i mean, i know i do! nobody knows it better than mee!!

blah. on that note, had a long-ish talk with peter after work about what i was doing and we were talking about easier ways to do what i wanted the code to do. it was more a reciprocal conversation since he wanted to ask me info about PDE when i wasn't bugging him about my parser. for now, it's back to java basics and i either might drop this task temporarily (no like) or come in sometime on the weekend (no like either) because i got myself into another task. the GOOD news is that i now have access to a light lab for it (*grin*)...the bad news is -- of course -- more work.

aside: Mo has access to a heavy lab! dammit....i want one of those! think they'll notice if i take an AS/400?

crippity: i just remembered that i have a roundtable tmrw about how cool my job is and how great i am at it .............O_o...........

Blah....and....another week of work to come....garrghh!! Not that I don't love my job -- don't get me wrong! But, I do find that sometimes I feel a bit of pressure at work (as any good workplace should give to their employees, mind you). But most of all, I just want the weekend to be a bit longer! Just a bit? Pleeeasssseee?

Now...as for what I did with my weekend....

Friday --- wanted to go play tennis but due to rain, went inside fitness centre and went on the mill, elliptic(sp?), bike.....and...then i was...dead. =)

Apparently I've been a little more gym-centred in the past little bit. Actually, it was probably because that fitness centre gave me a free week's pass (probably why I took a liking to the gym, no?). But don't you all worry, I've been successfully gaining my share of poundage to offset it and given that my muscles need some time to recup, I'm back on my lazy rear ;)

Saturday --- watched Harry Potter & the Chamber of Secrets. Honestly, I loved it!!! I was never an avid fan of Harry Potter but it really was an amusing and not-too-predictable movie. After watching the movie, i went back to my room (hey! it houses my computer!). A friend asked me if i wanted to go to Doors Open Toronto (doorsopen.org) which actually, looked very interesting! Unfortunately, given the time we would have met up at, we wouldn't have much time to see a lot so .... =( next year perhaps?

.............to top off my Saturday, I of course took a nap and went out to look at some cars.........family's thinking on't the Honda Odyssey and Toyota Sienna (leaning a bit more towards Odyssey). haha Salespeople tried to sell me a civic sedan. Quite nice! My brother and I took a fancy to the Accord (not that there's a price difference --- *slaps forehead*) ;). Another car that looks fairly good is the Toyota Matrix (base starts 4 grand below the Civic but, with add-ons to the basic package, ends up to be quite a bit more than the Civic (approx 4 grand more)). Nargh!

dah. all in all, not likely going to buy myself a car anytime soon (*pats bus tickets*) but, I'm going to have to get myself flexibly mobile!

Sunday --- went out with a group of friends to celebrate Jason's B-Day (*grin*). Happy Birthday again, Jason!

After Justin and I told everyone how "out-of-line" I was at the bar last night, we all headed over for a really good birthday lunching at Green Mango =) haha wait wait...FIRST, i must clarify. I was NOT at a bar yesterday! GAUGH! he's LYING! haha and yes, he and i did keep up that story for the entire celebration. *sigh* btw, Justin and I are headed towards the piercing/tatoo parlour --- anyone else in?

And the great news? I stink at S-P-O-O-N-S. Apparently, I play better when loser has to drink shots, no? er....yet another joke there...HEY!! no! NO more booze. =)
