So if you live your life in a three piece suit,
In a cocktail dress, or combat boots
You pick your path and you walk your truth
And the world will come round to you.

Pop the cork, a champagne glass
Raise to the future, drink to the past
Thank the Lord for the friends he cast,
In the play he wrote for you.

soooo tired. ugh. i've been on this weird schedule and i've been sleeping late for who knows what reason...haha okay, maaaayybe yesterday i stayed up trying to catch up on the season premiere of gilmore girls...haha just maybe. but still! so i'm crazy tired and typing with my eyes closed...partially because there's something in my eye and it's bothering me (damned eyelashes don't stay in their place).

this is a pretty random blog as I don't have anything super exciting to speak of. i think i'm just in a blogging mood :) i've also been reading other blogs and i've been thinking, i really want a vacation. like a real around-europe or someplace i've never been to before. meesh got to go to morocco and i think it sounds amazing. other places i want to go to are india, netherlands, france, spain...uhmm....not sure. i guess the phrase 'anywhere-but-here' would suffice for now, preferably something completely different...maybe africa? i'd like to try morocco or south africa, but then again i'm also thinking about some really good indian food so this list is going to have to get prioritized. cost and food being very important. ambience and service next. :)

oh and has anyone ever tried godtower.com? I was told about it today and tried it out but didn't get exceptionally far :( haha is there strategy to it at all?! some of these answers don't exactly seem to follow any kind of real logic. blah. if anyone gets past all 96 levels, let me know!

okay well, lots planned for the weekend...kind of. more likely i just want to make this a productive weekend of sorts :) ...let's hope lethargy kicks in soon.

All right...bi-weekly update time!

Long weekend was GREAT. I didn't touch work at all, more because I decided to spend the weekend out west and ditch the laptop at home completely. I'm not sure I ever really got back into the 'work' mode or fully adjusted to either time zone so I've had issues this week. But, of course it was all worth it since I got to spend time with great company ;-) Went to the driving range, went to the public library for a self-tour (they were done tours for the day) and read for a while, had a nice dinner together, saw a couple movies, field trip to the mall, etc. Definitely one of the best weekends I've had in a while :)

This weekend was also fun and event-filled. Yesterday, I had a great lunch + talk time with J's parents. haha somehow I must've been off the wall because I started telling them some pretty stupid things about me, including my infamous stork theory regarding how I was brought into my family. Note to self, don't open mouth next time. Nevertheless, they were SUPER nice and if there's nothing else i learned, i learned that i can't cook. will need to learn recipes later :) As for today, I woke myself up at bloody 6am only to find that the laundry I expected to be dry for today wasn't! Apparently I didn't press the "Start" button on the dryer and woke up to wet jeans -- Noooo! So, the dryer had to come to life at 6am (i'm sure it was tired too) and I had to pack snacks, books, magazine, etc because it's Toronto International Film Festival day (for me)! My buddy, J (not the same J as above) and I couldn't get advance tickets (more because TIFF wasn't selling them) so we were forced into the RUSH ticket lineup (which started at 7am). We ended up getting there right about 7am and found 3 people in line. Competition wasn't bad for seats so we went in search of breakfast, gave up after not finding a Tim Hortons (so much for being on every street corner!) and came back to be about 10th in line. Course, as the morning continued, our line got pretty long. Not only ours, but the line for people who actually had tickets (i.e. bought passes, etc) were going around the corner and down the street. It was a long morning of waiting (luckily we did get food and i had reading material, tunes, and good company) and if you ever see History of Violence, I'm going to say it was worth it. I ended up giving it 5 stars on my rating. David Cronenberg knows his stuff :)

Okay, that's all i got for now. :)

Hopefully more to come soon....
